Albuquerque Journal: Ventana Fund Taps New Executive Director

Kendra YevoliA New Mexico organization that aims to help finance affordable housing construction and rehabilitation has named a new executive director.

Kendra Yevoli is the next executive director at the Ventana Fund. She will oversee the organization’s growth, grassroots organization and relationship management with donors and community members.

The Ventana Fund is a New Mexico Community Development Financial Institution. The organization was certified as a CDIF by the U.S. Department of Treasury Department in 2015.

The fund has dispersed 58 loans that total more than $30 million and have affected more than 1,100 unit.

Yevoli has had a long career in association. Prior to joining the Ventana Fund, she was the executive director for the Commercial Association of REALTORS New Mexico.Throughout her career she has served in leadership positions with CCIM New Mexico, the New Mexico Society of Professional Engineers, the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association and the State Bar of New Mexico.

“Our board wants to double our impact in the next three years, so they have loft goals.” Yevoli said. “And the need is huge. There are at least 13,000 units needed in the Albuquerque area alone.”
