Paul Cassidy
Retired, Former Managing Director
RBC Capital Markets – New Mexico
Mr. Cassidy retired from RBC Capital Markets in 2018, after 42 years employed as an investment banker focusing exclusively on municipal finance. He joined RBC Capital Markets in April 1994 and managed the New Mexico office until his retirement. Mr. Cassidy’s experience included financing for capital and infrastructure projects throughout New Mexico including related policy development.
Mr. Cassidy was appointed to the State Board of Finance in and the New Mexico Military Base Planning Commission in 2020 by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham. He also serves on numerous non-profit boards in a volunteer capacity.
While working, Mr. Cassidy was a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registered representative holding Series 7, 24, 41, 50, 53, 63 and 79 licenses. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Wyoming in 1975.
Catherine hummel

DreamTree Project
Ms. Catherine Hummel is the Executive Director of DreamTree Project, an agency serving youth in crisis in Taos, New Mexico. DreamTree Project offers street outreach, shelter, and housing for teens & young adults. In addition, she leads several local and regional collaborative housing efforts. Ms. Hummel was previously a program manager at the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority, overseeing programs across the state serving people experiencing homelessness. Prior to that, she managed housing programs at HopeWorks, a behavioral health nonprofit serving unhoused people in Albuquerque. Ms. Hummel has an M.B.A. and an M.A. in Liberal Arts.
